INSTRUCTION LEVEL: Basic (no prior knowledge necessary)

WHAT TO BRING: A video camera (smartphone is fine), with a short video (of anything) already on your camera. Also bring the cables you need to connect your camera to a laptop (via USB).

INSTRUCTION LEVEL:  Basic/intermediate (if you’re blogging/vlogging already you’ll get the most from this workshop, but beginners are welcome too)

Sun 7/1, 9:45 am-12:45 pm Master of the Blog: Everything You Need to Know About WordPress
INSTRUCTION LEVEL: Basic (You will learn to set up a WordPress blog from scratch so is ideal for new bloggers; if you already use Tumblr, WordPress.com or Blogger this would also be great for you)
WHERE: Cook Room
INSTRUCTOR: Tracy Levesque, co-owner of YIKES, Inc., a Philadelphia web design and development company.
WHAT TO BRING: In order to get the most out of this class, you need to have a domain/URL of your own that is registered with a hosting provider, with WordPress already installed or available as part of a one-click set-up. (if you don’t have this already or if you don’t know what we’re talking about, setting up an account at one of these hosting providers recommended by WordPress should do the trick: http://wordpress.org/hosting/ ) Don’t forget to bring your username and password so you can log into your account!

WHAT TO BRING: Laptop or Wi-fi connected tablet you’re comfortable writing on

Sun 7/1, 7:45-9:00 am Private Viewing of the Liberty Bell

WHERE: Meet in Sheraton Main Lobby. We’ll leave the lobby for the Liberty Bell at 7:45 am sharp – it’s about 5 blocks away. Our private tour is at 8 AM.
WHAT TO BRING: Wear comfy shoes. If it’s really hot, bring a bottle of water and a hat.
