What are you going to talk about at the conference?

Simple steps about turning your passions into profits.

What blogs do you read regularly?

Finding Joy & Mojosavings. Finding Joy is a great mom blog about living life to the fullest and Mojosavings is a great frugal living blog that pulls the best of the best from the World Wide Web and posts it on their site so you don’t have to “surf” the web for the latest deals.

How did you get involved with blogging?

Prayer.I prayed for a job that would allow me to stay home with my family and evoke my creative side. Thus, Family Frugal Fun was born. All big decisions in my life I’ve done through prayer.

Do you have any hobbies other than digital media creation? What are you passionate about?

Disney is my passion. We go a minimum of once a year and one year we went 3 times. Second to Disney is hiking. There’s just something magical about mounting climbing, nature and the Mother Earth.

If you could travel back in time and send yourself a message, what would it be?

1) When you have a good feeling or a special idea that comes to you about how to do something better, new, start a business etc WRITE IT DOWN IN A PERSONAL NOTE BOOK. Keep your book forever.
2) Ask Questions and listen to the answers of those in business around you. You don’t need to re-invent the wheel. You’re just perfecting it, making it better, more efficient.
3) Don’t be afraid to start something completely NEW.

Any advice for young bloggers?

Do key word research – Don’t just take a shot in the dark every time you make a post, write an articles etc. Contact the manufacturer’s of anything and EVERYTHING you’re blogging about. You are an asset to them. Swap for payment, merchandise or swag but make sure you’re being compensated in some way.

What do you think is the greatest opportunity for digital teens today?

Breaking emerging technology. Stay on the tip of the latest greatest EVERYTHING!

What’s the biggest danger facing digital teens & their families today?

Market saturation in many fields.

Who are your Creative Heroes?

Dan Morris @ Letters from Dan. He’s an SEO expert, friend, mentor and overall brilliant person.

What’s next for you after the Digital Family Summit?

I’m giving a frugal living seminar for a few hundred people with the Press of Atlantic City.
