First of its Kind Teen Blogging Conference comes to Philly 6/29 – 7/1

Philadelphia, PA – New Lifestyle, Technology and Business trend: Digital-savvy kids are coming of age and teen bloggers and young entrepreneurs will be taking the stage in Philly next week, along with adult experts to show folks, and other kids, how it is done.

The Digital Family Summit is an interactive, hands-on conference for teen digital media creators, bloggers, and their families. Join professionals from Columbia University, Entertainment Weekly, Parsons School of Design and a host of tween and teen bloggers and entrepreneurs for a weekend of fun activities, interactive and hands-on workshops, thought leadership and personal guidance 6/29-7/1 at the Sheraton Society Hill in Philadelphia, PA.  The workshops are geared towards teens 13-18 and their parents, but there will also be some activities for younger kids aged 4-12.  Conference tickets include 6 meals, snacks, and all activities; hotel not included. Registration prices are $200 per person or $400 for a family (2+ family members).

WHAT: This year’s inaugural Digital Family Summit (June 29-July 1), includes over 20 sessions where teens and their families can learn about all aspects of blogging and digital media creation. The sessions include hands-on workshops, inspirational keynotes by prominent blogging teens, parents, and internet experts, plus panel discussions about some hot-button topics for parents and teens alike. Talk with, interview and hear from, the next wave of blogging and social media creators – teens and tweens; see young digital entrepreneurs from across the country, and hear from experts on various related topics.

WHEN: Friday June 29,  4 to 9:30 pm (check-in begins at 12 noon)

Saturday, June 30, 8 am to 8:30 pm

Sunday, July 1: 8 am to conference end 2:30 pm

Interviews can also be arranged in advance of the event.
